CVA Credentials Discount

Members of Volunteer Canada are eligible for a discounted CVA certification and/or recertification fee of $315USD. Find out why you should become "Certified in Volunteer Administration" here! 

Individuals wishing to pursue the CVA certification must meet these requirements in order to register as a candidate:

  1. Minimum of the equivalent of three years full-time experience related to volunteer resources management. This experience can be a combination of several part-time positions, and can include both salaried and non-salaried roles.
  2. Minimum of 30 percent of current position related to volunteer resources management.
  3. Documentation of education and related experience.

Members of Volunteer Canada are eligible to join the Volunteer Centre Council (VCC). The VCC was created to strengthen the collective capacity, cohesion, and influence of volunteer centres in Canada.

Biennial Volunteer Center Leadership Forum

The Volunteer Centre Leadership Forum brings together representatives from volunteer centres to engage in important discussions and make connections. The main objectives of the Forum are to share knowledge, practices and resources across the network and for volunteer centre leaders to connect with colleagues from all over Canada.

To renew your membership

Renew your membership

You will receive an emailed invoice 30-40 days prior to your renewal date. A link will be included to renew online.
Membership renewal fees can be paid by credit card online or over the phone toll-free at 1-800-670-0401 ext. 260, or by cheque and mailed to 2197 Riverside Drive, Suite 305, Ottawa Ontario K1H 7X3.

All Volunteer Canada memberships are valid for one year from the date acquired or renewed. We offer a 30-day grace period, after which the membership will expire if it isn’t renewed.

Refunds: A member may cancel a membership at any time by calling or emailing Volunteer Canada. In such cases, all member benefits shall cease. Refunds may be granted within four months of purchase, less a $25 administrative fee. To apply for a refund, submit the request in writing, citing the reasons for termination. A decision will be made within four weeks. Volunteer Canada reserves the right to deny a refund.
